Burlesque of North America Minneapolis, Minnesota
Burlesque has been designing and screen printing concert posters, art prints, album packaging, and much more since the early 2000s. Headed up by creative directors Wes Winship and Mike Davis, the crew has been puttin' in work for clients as diverse as Arcade Fire, The Melvins, Nike Sportswear, Deathwish Inc, Minnesota Public Radio, Stones Throw Records, and Target. Aside from design and print work, Burlesque is also responsible for organizing and hosting numerous music events throughout the year including the annual Dre Day celebration (originally held exclusively in Minneapolis and now celebrated in over a dozen cities across the globe), the Do It To It DJ showcase and dance party (each Spring in Austin TX), as well as the weekly Triple Double dance night in Minneapolis. Burlesque also helps manage and curate CO Exhibitions, a 2000 square ft art gallery space in their Minneapolis-based studio, which has been home to artwork from Aaron Draplin, Junko Mizuno, David Choe, 123Klan, and Burlesque themselves.
